Waikato’s Best Players

Players in this team are currently the strongest players in the Waikato region looking to advance themselves. They are training to take on the highest competition within New Zealand with the goal of getting results.

Waikato is now one of the leading regions in New Zealand for developing players to a high performance level; the only region that is consistently able to compete with the Auckland regions.

Success Factors

  • The ongoing support from the WBA Board, coaches, clubs, administrators and volunteers.
  • The tremendous effort of the players in the training program. The choices they make on a daily basis, the support they receive from their family and friends, and the dedication, passion and commitment they display to be ‘the best they can be’ is an example for all Waikato players.

Training Session Details:

  • First session: 19 October

  • Time:

    • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Mondays - 5.30 to 7.30pm ( Court 6 - 10 )
    • Thursdays - 5.30 to 7.30pm ( Court 4 - 10 )

  • Maximum 25 participants per day

  • Costs for this group:

    • 1 training session per week - $180 ( 9 weeks )

    • 2 training sessions per week - $320 (9 weeks)
