Waikato Badminton Association Inc. is looking for a Schools & Events Manager (P/T) to start on the 1st of April 2018. This established, permanent part-time role is based at the Eastlink Badminton Stadium in Hamilton however will require traveling throughout the Waikato region (mileage will be reimbursed).
Waikato Badminton is the organisation responsible for making Badminton happen in the greater Waikato region. We have a proud history of providing programmes and activities from Grassroots through to High Performance. The Schools & Events Manager will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all WBA Events and our school based “Shuttle Time” programme. The role is very busy and demanding during the March-September period with a quieter period between October and February.
We are looking for a person that has the following skills and qualifications:
- A sound knowledge and understanding of Badminton
- A Badminton NZ and/or a BWF Coaching qualification
- Event delivery experience is considered being an advantage
- Positive, switched on and a can-do attitude
- Self starter, ability to think outside the box
- Able to think on his/her feet
- Experience working with children
Candidates must be eligible to work in New Zealand, applications from overseas who do not hold a current permit to work in New Zealand will not be considered for this position. The successful candidate will be subject to standard Police checks.
